Treating New Indigo

We always suggest you take your new indigo garment to a commercial dryer (they get so much hotter than your home dryer) before you even wear it! Dry your garment 30 to 60 minutes until it is bone dry. This is taking into consideration that it takes several minutes for the dryer to reach its peak heat and there is a cool down period as well.

Drying helps set the color without chemical help.

This is not a perfect fix. Indigo will still bleed but nowhere near as much. We have found that garments that we treat in this fashion maintain there color better over time.
